We are pleased to announce that Mr. Giuseppe Riello, CEO of Ghibli & Wirbel SpA since 2014, has been appointed as President of AfidampFAB, the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery, Products and Equipment for Professional Cleaning and Hygiene.

The election of Mr. Riello, in addition to being a source of pride for our company, represents a visible evidence of our efforts in developing, promoting and disseminating the values and the culture of cleaning in Italy and worldwide.

AfidampFAB is the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery, Products and Equipment for Professional Cleaning and Hygiene and represents the whole chain of businesses producing and importing professional cleaning products nationwide. AfidampFAB is the institutional interlocutor for public administrations, private sector representatives and individual consumers on the question of cleaning, understood as an essential requisite for healthy living and the first indicator of the quality of life of society.

AfidampFAB today groups the majority of firms operating in the sector, of all sizes and from every part of Italy. In the global professional cleaning market Italian manufacturers rank, together with those of Germany and United States, among the top specialist producers of machinery and equipment. The market represented by AfidampFAB is made up of five large families: machinery, equipment, chemical products, paper, fibres and fabrics.

AfidampFAB associated firms respresent the 85% of the Italian market, with an over 1.600 milion Euros turnover. Export percentage is high especially for machinery and equipment (64%, with peaks of 75% for some categories such as scrubber dryers), Paper is balanced between Italy and foreign countries (57%) while Chemical products are primarily addressed to an internal market with only 17% of export.
